SONS OF SEREVI

Sons of Serevi RFC were created in the summer of 2006, when a random suggestion at a local pub to create an amateur rugby team formed into something we could initially only just dream of! As the beer went down, the evening drew on, the ideas became more adventurous and we all thought it would be a one of those flash-in-the pan ideas....How wrong we were! With a mutual love of the game, an appreciation of Fijian Rugby, Sons of Serevi RFC arrived and the Rugby 7s squad was born.

Father and Sons are reported to be doing very well.

	01.04.07 New Jerseys Arrive....!!

	07.04.07 Sons of Serevi RFC announce the signing of two new players who went straight into the starting line up for the Easter 7s in Herefordshire. Both Steve McGrath and Dan O'Driscoll had outstanding debuts on the weekend at Luctonians Sports Club and we hope they will be travelling with the Sons for many Summers to come. Steve is a powerhouse of a man and looked awesome in punching through the opponents line all weekend. Dan has brilliant speed and looks very very comfortable with the ball considering last time he played was a few years ago! We're looking forward for these two linking up on the field!! Welcome aboard!

	20.05.07 New signing James Parker establishes himself firmly into the Sons starting line-up with great performances at both The Church 7s last weekend and also Ashby 7s this weekend. James was also able to grab his first of the season with a tremendous breakaway try at the Ashby de le Zouch tournament where he also assisted Sons veteran, Paddy Edinborough run in his maiden try of his SOSRFC career. James joined the Sons from Taffs Well where he plays 15s and we hope that James will be around for many Summers to come to be a part of the Sons quest for global 7s domination.
