Each year Sons of Serevi RFC compete across England and Wales in many tournaments. During the summer months we have regular training sessions in Cardiff and we have already brought home our first trophy. This year will be no different with plans to re-visit, Nottingham and London and Hereford already underway, and also a few more new tournaments added to the fixture list including a possible visit to Newquay, Bath, Bournemouth, and possibly a few others.

Last year the Wye Valley Brewery Social 7s proved to be a great weekend for the Sons as they battled through the stages to emerge as 'Tupperwear Jug' winners. Enough to bring a tear to any Fathers eye. This year the tournament goes ahead again on Easter Bank Holiday weekend and Sons of Serevi will be heading back to Hereford for a chance to improve on last years success. A great day out at Luctonians RFC who showed last year what great hosts they were. Sign up for playing as soon as possible and get 22nd March in your diary now! This one is not to be missed! |

| THE CHURCH CHARITY SPORTS DAY 7s |

This is the second annual Church Charity Sports Day which includes a Rugby 7s tournament and Netball tournament. 7s - there are 3 divisions; Mens Social, Mens Open and Ladies Open, so it does not matter if your team is the Samurai 7s team or Cobham 4ths there is a place for your team. There will be a fee of £100 per team which will go to Charity.
Each team will receive a goodies bag which will include:
10 free water bottles
10 free food vouchers
10 free tickets to the Church for Sunday 11th May
10 free raffle tickets
Other free giveaways
There will also be a BBQ and All Day Bar as well as Music. Prizes are yet to be confirmed but will include cash, Twickenham Rugby tickets, merchandise, bar tabs, beer and overseas trips. |

The Summer favourite. The Glastonbury of 7s! Nottingham Summer Solstice 7s takes place at the height of the Summer and has always prooved to be a great weekend both on and off the pitch. Basically a social weekend binge under canvas, it was great fun last year and this year plans to be even better.
All facilities - camping, parking, food, bars and marquee are adjacent to each other, and all 3 rugby pitches are in fantastic condition. Some pool games and all men's finals are played on a full-sized pitch.You can camp on-site from Friday through to Sunday with entertainment in our clubhouse and marquee on both nights. Good value food and drink are available on site. As always, there will be a team fancy dress competition on Saturday night. |

They've done it! They've finally had the brain wave of coupling the country's favourite summer party town with the country's favourite summer sport! The Newquay Surf 7s Rugby Tournament in Cornwall 2008 are upon us. This July, Newquay will see a festival of rugby to rival any in Europe. Over 60 teams will battle on the sevens pitch within five separate tournaments. The weekend will cater for all standards, from local club sides right through to the best sevens rugby has to offer in the Men’s Invitational tournament. If you’re into weekends spent lying on the beach, playing a bit of rugby and having the odd shandy or two, then get in touch and register that you can play straight away!You’ll know if you don’t, then come July you’ll wish you were there! |

For the second year running, established UK Rugby 7s outfit Sons of Serevi RFC are once again holding their annual Social Rugby 7s Tournament, now complete with all new website sponsor, the “SOS Summer 7s” at Cae Delyn Park, Cardiff, South Wales on Saturday 16th August 2008.
The tournament will take a familiar shape with three trophies to battle for; The Plate, the Bowl and of course the Cup. Arrival of teams and registration will begin at 10.00am and games will be played over two/three pitches throughout the day beginning at 10.30am with the grand final kicking-off at approximately 6:30pm.
As this is only a social tournament, on this occasion there is neither prize money nor stash up for grabs so all you’ll be battling for is alcohol and the opportunity to win the SOS Summer 7s Winners Trophy! (But, of course, we all know it’s not the winning that counts!) A BBQ and refreshments will be available to players and spectators, music will be played throughout the day and shower and changing facilities will also be available.
The cost of entry to the tournament will be £50.00 per team (no more than a 12 man squad per team please) which will cover the price of the pitches, changing rooms, parking and facilities available on the day. |

05.06.07 Three squad members of Sons of Serevi RFC travelled to Milan and Venice over the weekend to play for an Italian Social team "MaiDire Meta". The Italian team, which has establlished itself as Touch Rugby specialists invited the 3 lads, Rhys Watkins, Chief Stickler and Paddy Edinborough who travelled out to Milan on the 1st June and played in a tournament that took place within the town of Rovigo (just outside Venice) on Saturday 2nd June. The tournament was a success for both Sons and Italians as despite losing all games to much much stronger sides, including an International Italian Rugby League side, it gave an opportunity to play abroad, play in an impressive stadium with many ex-Italian international players and spread the SOS word further across the globe! We hope to invite the Italian team to Cardiff in February to coincide with the Wales Vs Italy 6 Nations fixture. 06.06.07 Nottingham Casuals RFC again play host to the Solstice 7s this year with the Sons making their return to the tournament over the weekend on 16th/17th June. Please confirm your place on tour ASAP by letting any of the lads know, or by emailing the club. Travel arrangement are to travel to Nottingham on Friday 15th June (PM) and return to Cardiff on Sunday 17th June. A minibus is being hired. THIS IS THE BEST TOUR OF THE SEASON SO CONFIRM YOUR PLACE TODAY!!
