"...Did I ever tell you about my chip 'n' chase try..?" I know what you're thinking..."So that's where Phil Mitchell is on the weekends!", Well not quite although Mr Mead could quite easily match his temperment! Alex Mead has been with Sons Of Serevi RFC since the beginning, being one of the 'original sons' and helping immensely with the running and general development of the club. He is Club President for 2008 aswell as Club Captain for the third year running after his efforts in the production of the new jersey and also his committment to signing the club up to as many tournaments as possible. Cap'n Mead also put down a substantial amount of cash to help with the Sons first major sponsorship deal in 2007. Oh yeah... he's not too bad on the pitch either! Being a qualified rugby coach and an experienced player he is a a key figure at the club and although living in London - away from many of the squad members - he is committed to keeping in touch with all the latest developments away from the pitch in the pub.

The man known as Chief has been described as many things since the forming of Sons of Serevi RFC - steady now this is family website - one thing is certain however, he is a walking, talking poster...BILLBOARD...advert for SOSRFC as everything he does is mostly aimed at benefitting the club in some way. Having developed this fine website, producing an awesome monthly newsletter and turning his mighty Ford KA into a mobile recruitment office he has helped bring new players to the club and has been a key figure in promoting the club in many ways, including being one of the first Sons to get tattooed with the club badge. Chief was voted Club Chairman not only to keep him quiet but also due to the sheer amount of work that he does on the promotion side of things. His aim is to one day get Waisale Serevi to play for the club and then it will only be a matter of time until the restarining order comes in! If you're reading this Waisale - Go on! Make his day! |
